This building is used as the medical office in Samaria gorge. It is a building with a long history. It belonged to Theodoros Viglis, who was killed by the Turkish army at the Xilokamara battle at Nerokourou in 1897.
In May 1941, the government of Greece with the PrimeMinister Emm. Tsouderos and King George the 2nd stayed here for a while during their departure to Kairo, Egypt. The last official announcement of the Greek government was issued here and it encouraged the people of Greece to keep fighting against the German army.
