Crete is special to me because it feels like home. Cretans are so friendly to you, it's almost as if they're your family. You couldn't ask for a nicer place to go on holiday.
Favourite restaurants in Crete are Golden Beach and Taverna Maria in Stalis. All the lads in Golden Beach keep you entertained for the whole night. Whether you want to dance or not, one look at Stevie will have you up. Thanks for all the photos George and Kostas too!
Taverna Maria was by far the best place I ate in the whole holiday. You're greeted (if you're Irish) with a big 'Dia duit' from Alex. Maria will have you talking all night and Andreas will make you a great "Sex on the Beach"!
Favourite accommodation in Crete are the Stefania Apartments above the Leprechaun, right in the centre of Stalis. The owners greeted you with a warm welcoming smile and it was great all round!
Favourite beach in Crete is Stalis. Zacharias won't keep you waiting for a sunbed and he's very helpful and friendly.
You have to see in Crete: Greek dancing, smashing plates and Stevie from Golden Beach!!
Night Life in Crete: the Leprechaun, the Akti Bar and Slainte. They're all service with a smile and Yiannis in the Leprechaun is especially friendly.
Off the beaten path in Crete: is yet to be explored ...
When in Crete be careful about nothing - Stalis is very safe but watch out for the crazy moped drivers
Transportation: I like to travel by foot because you get to see everything that Stalis has to offer.
Cultural Tips: Watch the Greek dancing, eat the stuffed vine leaves, smash some plates and don't leave without a crepe!
