If I could give Hotel Vassia Beach 11- 10, I would. The rooms were excellent. We stayed in the brand new building; it looked like they didn’t have time to put our door number up. In the room a big double bed, a fridge toped up with a welcome pack (free beers, water and soft drinks) and a TV. The bathroom was big. This included the bath and a power shower cubical next to it and a hair dryer.
There are lots of pools and no reserving the sun loungers. The food from the restaurant was excellent. Also open was the snack bar also free. The offer there was Hamburgers, cheese and chicken burgers, Pizza and chips.
I would recommend Hotel Vassia Beach in Sissi to anyone in the confidence that when the return they would be thanking me

I have just got back to the uk after spending what I can only say is the best holiday I have ever spent in Greece / Crete. The Vassia Beach Apthotel in Sissi is the best I have ever stayed in. How this can be only 3 stars? It should rate as 5 star. I hope this is the new face of Greek Apthotel as this was 1st Class. We have been to Greece over ten times and the Vassia Beach is out of this world.
The rooms are clean with full aircon, soft double beds thats a 1st for us. Bathroom would not be out of place in a UK home, soft towels clean sheets all ironed, maid service was just great. All the staff could not be more helpfull. If you do go to Sissi and stay at the Vassia Beach then you are in for a great time.
Sissi is a great place to chill out and soak up some sun. Good super market behind the apartments, and for car hire go to Mavis Cars for your car. The guys who run the place will always give you a good deal. We had a car for 3 days and it came to 84 Euro, all in.

Following many visits to Greek Islands this was our first time in Crete. The Vasia Beach apartments in Sissi are superb, and on greek standards could be described as luxury! They included air conditioning, safety deposit boxes, hairdryers and a shower over a bath with a shower curtain! Not the usual wet room! They are kept spotlessly clean by the very courteous cleaning staff.
Vasia is situated on the seafront with an outdoor terrace overlooking the sea, a lovely place for those pre dinner drinks watching the sunset! Inside is a comfortable bar with split level restaurant serving very good food.
The pool area is fantastic with plenty of loungers and parasols, together with a pool bar serving snacks etc. The views of the nearby mountains only add to its serenity.
The owner George and his staff - Mario (Maz), Maria and Georgy are all very friendly and insure you have a stress free time, nothing is too much trouble!
Vasia is a 5min walk to the small fishing village of Sissi (there is no beach, apart from a small manmade area, howerver, beaches can be found by following the rocky path for approx. 20mins). Sissi has a selection of traditional shops and many tavernas overlooking the pretty harbour.
I would recommend this holiday to any one seeking TOTAL peace and relaxation. Older couples or families with YOUNG children would find it a safe place. If you're looking to party this is not the place to be!

Compared with the usual rather basic self-catering Greek accommodation, Hotel Vassia is beautifully decorated and equipped. The bathroom even had a hairdrier!
The staff are friendly and helpful, the pool larger than average and everything is well-maintained. It' s a pleasant 5-minute walk to the bars and restaurants around the harbour.
