Mountain Ida or Psiloritis - Satellite images of Crete
North view of the Nida Plateau in Crete. Nida Plateau is located in the centre of Crete on Mt. Ida (Psiloritis), about 20 km south of the town of Anogia. The easier hiking route to the summit of Mt Ida starts from here, very close to the famous Idaion Antron cave, the cave where Zeus was born.
South view of Nida plateau. Several dirt roads lead to Nida from various villages, like the village of Kroussonas or the village of Gergeri. Only the road from Anogia is asphalt all the way.
