Plakias is located south of Rethymnon and it has some fanatic friends, who keep visiting Plakias year after year. The area is beautiful and the villages of Selia and Mirthios offer panoramic views to the bay of Plakias. Besides the long sandy beach of Plakias, there is also the nearby sandy beach of Souda.
