Crete is special to me because the island is beautiful and the cretans are warm and freindly. Crete as everything for the perfect holiday.

Favourite restaurants in Crete: WE found every restaurant we visited the food was good, but we particularly enjoyed the El Greco - Beach Road Stalis. It is a warm and friendly place and the food is delicious. Also the Royal Oak English pub at the Beach Road in Stalis serves exceptionally good full english breakfast for only £1.86

Favourite accommodation in Crete: As this was our first time to Crete we don\'t have much experience of the accommodation, but we found the Ilios Studios in Stalis, clean and comfortable and would stay there again.In fact we are -next september!

Favourite beach in Crete: Our favourite beach has got to be Stalis's golden beach -the ideal place to relax.
You have to see in Crete: A Greek night is a must when you come to Crete. See the dancers in their traditional costumes, whilst soaking up the atmosphere of the evening.

Night Life in Crete: Stalis is an ideal resort with lots of tavernas and restaurants to choose from, along with its many bars if you want a late night.

Off the beaten path in Crete: Not yet discovered.

When in Crete be careful about The drivers - they are fast and furious. Also the local mosquito.

Transportation: The buses are good and cheap and run quite regular. The taxis are quite reasonable as well but always ask the price before you get in.

Cultural Tips: Don't drink the local "fire water"= Raki, its very very strong!.
