Crete is special to me because I have never felt so utterly relaxed and rested.My husband and I booked a quick holiday last year after having had a horrendous year. We had 3 bereavements in 9 months.We had never ever visited Greece, now we cannot wait to come back, we have booked a holiday in Piskopiano. I find it hard to explain the feeling of well being that filled me while i was there, the people were wonderful, the air was so pure and the whole island so beautiful it was magical.

Favourite restaurants in Crete: We tried many we also bought fresh fish and catered for ourselves. The food was wonderful. We ate fish in most of the restaurants as this is our favourite food and it was excellent every time.

Favourite accommodation in Crete: We didnt have a lot of choice, as we had to take pot luck on such short notice, but we were quite lucky as we had a two bedroomed apartment at the " Aleka - Nancia" in Hersonissos just two minutes from the sea. We found it clean very friendly and quite comfortable it was very basic but we had all we needed, this year we have booked a villa and cant wait to return.

Favourite beach in Crete: I cannot say that we had one favourite in particular we loved them all, we just couldn\'t wait to get into that clear blue crystal water.

You have to see in Crete: We went on a bus tour into the mountains. It was spectacular, we will certainly do that again this year. There is so much more we want to see when we come back and I have taken down some notes from your website on where to visit. We thank you for the information.

Night Life in Crete: We enjoyed sitting in bars having a drink watching everyone enjoy themselves. We felt comfortable and relaxed at all times.

Off the beaten path in Crete: Yet to be discovered.!

When in Crete be careful about: Falling in love with the island and not wanting to leave.

Transportation:We walked for miles but there was ample services to use, we found the taxis very resonable.
