I stayed in a small studio in Meltemi Apartments in Koutouloufari (very close to Hersonissos area) last November 2001 together with my husband. Even though normally this is not the area to be, as it is usually crowded, in winter it is very quiet. We found by change this little place with an extremely sweet owner. He made our holidays one to remember. The apartment had a beautifull seaview and everything inside you could wish for. And that for only 7000 drs. per night for 2 pers.! Here we felt this famous Cretan hospitality.

We found it a real recommendable place for other independent travelers. It is called "Villa Meltemi" and is situated right at the entrance of the Koutouloufari village, 1 Km south of Hersonissos.
