Well what can i say! I have just returned today from my wonderful holiday in Stalis! I stayed at the Villa Ritsa which is owned by the lovely George who makes you feel very welcome. The apartments have a very relaxed atmosphere and are wonderfully safe for children. I took my 3 year old son and nearly forgot I took him as he spent more time in the pool and playing pool than he did with me!

The rooms are basic but clean there is a busy road next to the apartments but you really don't notice the noise after about 2 days. George holds a BBQ once a week and you must give it a try its a great way to meet other guests and the food he puts on is to die for! Be careful of the raki though!!!

To eat in Stalis i would reccomend Golden Beach the service and food is excellent and its very traditional with plate smashing and the odd bit of greek dancing! also try the "Gyros". It's basically a kebab but at only 2 euros they make a really nice, filling snack.

We also found an excellent english bar called the Robin Hood the staff are brilliant make you feel really welcome and they do a quiz and bingo every night with cash prizes!

I couldnt possibly put into words everything I got from this holiday but what I can say is that I have booked to go there for a month next year and who knows maybe ill stay longer!!! 10/10 for sure!

We stayed at Villa Ritsa Jul/Aug 04 for 2 weeks. George & Dimitri made us feel very welcome. Vila Ritsa apartments were clean & tidy, the pool was clear & well looked after. The noise from the nearby road was bearable, and not even really noticeable after the first few days. The apartments are located close enough yet far enough away from the hustle of Stalis beach road. Overall an excellent base from which to explore the island. George's famous omelettes are as lovely as they were reported to be!

The Villa Ritsa apts are the best in the whole of Stalis , they are clean , modern , and an ideal location for the beach ( 2 min walk ). George is lovely and will make you feel very welcome with his film nights and weekly BBQ and his family are adorable ! Everyone goes back there year after year !

Villa Ritsa is an incredibly clean and friendly place. George is a star! Nothing a problem. Close to the road but you get used to the noise after 2 days. Definitely going back in 2004.

Villa Ritsa are very clean appts next to the main road but you get used to the road after about 2 days. Very friendly staff. George makes you feel welcome. Nice to sit out at night on the balcony or at the front and try one of George's ommelettes, they are to die for. Short walk to Stalis town, had a great time there. Only thing missing is a bread knife in the kitchen
