Restaurant Thalassolylos in Elounda

Restaurant Thalassomylos was definately the best restaurant in Elounda. There was plenty of choice at very good prices. The restaurant is in an excellent location and looks out over the sea. The staff are very friendly, but beware of Ιoannis (chubby with a blonde bit of hair at the back).

There is also a bar attached to the restaurant called Katafigio which the locals aren't too keen on but we went there every night and were impressed with the music and atmosphere. We also found the barman, Niko, very entertaining (throwing up glasses) and his brother Zon was lovely but shy.

Other restaurants to visit are Melissos and The Ferryman Taverna, where you will find Dimitris (looks a bit like Elijah Wood) and 'Fort'. You also cannot stay in Elounda without visiting Common beach. Although the beach may not look much at first you will find the beachstaff are very friendly, especially Kiriakos (the one with the slight body) and the beach is nice and quiet. Overall Elounda is the best place we have been in Greece.
