Crete Aquarium Video

Crete Aquarium is located in Gournes and is also known as Thalassokosmos, meaning Sea World. Crete Aquarium has more than 200 different species of fish of the Mediterranean. It exhibits many local species varying from small fish, hippocampus, medusas, etc. up to sharks. All species come from the Mediterranean sea.

Crete Aquarium is definitely worth-visiting for someone who is interested in the sea life of the Mediterranean, since it is one of the biggest aquariums in Europe.

The Crete Aquarium is open every day all year long, even on official holidays.

  • from October 1 to May 31, the Crete Aquarium is open from 9am to 7pm
  • from June 1 to September 30, it is open daily from 9am to 9pm.
