Balos Beach

Balos beach and Gramvoussa island video

Departing from the small port of Kastelli (Kissamos), west of Chania, a boat will take you you to Balos beach passing by the islets of Agria and Imeri Gramvoussa.

Imeri Gramvoussa is a historical place and there is a Venetian fortress on top of the island. There is also the shipwreck of a cargo ship still remaining on the island's south coast.

In the beach of Balos one can find crystal waters and white sand, ideal for swimming and sunbathing. In the lagoon of Balos the waters are so shallow so that it can be the perfect place for young children.
