Mountain Ida or Psiloritis - Satellite images of Crete

Psiloritis or Mt. Ida is the highest mountain in Crete. Psiloritis, meaning "high mountain" in Greek, stands at 2,456 metres (8,057 feet). According to mythology, Zeus was born here inside a cave, the Idaion Antron cave.
