My tips on Crete:I' ve been to Hersonissos 8 times in the last 15 years, it feels like a home from home.

Favourite restaurants in Crete: Probably The Anatoli, near to Star Beach. The owners and staff are so friendly. There is Greek dancing each night which you encouraged to join in.

Favourite accommodation in Crete: I don' t have a favourite but I wouldn' t choose to stay in the centre of Hersonissos, I' d rather stay close to Star beach.

Favourite beach in Crete: The nices beaches I have seen are in Stalis.

You have to see in Crete: Spinalonga, Elounda, Ag. Nicolias and the smaller villages at the foot of the hills.

Night Life in Crete: Fantastic!!!!

Off the beaten path in Crete:

When in Crete be careful about: Mosquitos and Greek drivers.

Transportation: Buses and taxis are cheep and reliable

Cultural Tips: Try to learn a little Greek, it will impress the locals.
